This knife is a yanagiba knife produced by HATSUKOKORO from Japan, and it is crafted by the renowned sharpener Naohito Myojin, who is currently very popular. It features a two-layer construction with a soft iron outer layer and a Blue #2 steel core, providing a hardness of 62±1 HRC.

This yanagiba knife is hand-forged, and the blade retains the forging texture, which offers some rust resistance. The blade is meticulously polished by Naohito Myojin, showcasing the excellent cutting performance and edge retention of the Japanese Blue #2 steel. It is highly recommended for use. Please note the importance of rust prevention in daily use.
