This Yanagiba knife is produced by Yoshikazu Ikeda, the current president of the Sakai Knife Association in Sakai City, Japan. It is hand-forged.

Notes:
The thin blade is not suitable for cutting frozen meat or bones.
Carbon steel knives are prone to rust when exposed to moisture. After use, promptly dry the knife. For long-term storage, apply a specialized Japanese blade rust prevention oil, wipe off excess oil, and polish the knife to a shine.
